Hello everyone, due to various reasons I have moved my jewellery blog, but don’t worry its still me giving my love for Murano glass beads and all things jewellery but just in a new location. Please visit Handcrafted Jewellery Blog and update your RSS feeds.

Love is symbolised by the heart and Venice is synonymous with romance, so what better gift is there to give than a Venetian glass heart? I use genuine Venetian glass beads in all the jewellery I make and one of the most treasured pieces are the earrings as they are simple, stylish and classical.
I use sterling silver ball head pins to hold the Venetian glass heart bead and then a sterling silver ball before finishing with a loop. The loop is then used to attach and suspend the heart below the sterling silver earring hook. The process is repeated to make a matching pair of Venetian glass heart earrings.
The only problem you will have is deciding which colour to choose! I use 19 different coloured hearts, 13 are single coloured covering the full rainbow spectrum from red though gold to blue and lilac. The other six colours are striped. A few examples can be seen below.
So which is your favourite colour and matches your wardrobe best? All my heart earrings are available to buy online at Tesoro Venetian Jewellery or just click for your choice buy red or blue heart earrings, buy coral or amethyst heart earrings or buy striped earrings.
They also look great with the Love Pearls bracelet featured here in a previous post.
Thanks for reading and see you soon.
Everyone loves pearls, well that might not be entirely true, but with vintage back in vogue then pearls are too and they can compliment any style. I know I have memories of my Gran wearing strings of pearls and thinking they aren’t for me, but I have created a bracelet that is both stylish and modern, so banish those memories and bring on the pearls.
The Love Pearls bracelet is a simple string of freshwater pearls in a warm neutral cream with a lovely sheen and hanging from the centre is a Murano glass heart all finished with sterling silver fittings. The glass heart is 20mm in size and the bracelet length is 7″ to 8¼” with the adjustable end providing a secure fit for everyone.
I have shown the love pearls bracelet here with silver and gold hearts but they also look amazing with any of the Murano glass heart colours I use including red, blue and amethyst.
Click here to buy your Love Pearls bracelet and show your love for pearls. These bracelets are available from Tesoro Venetian Jewellery as well as other matching items.

The Jubilee weekend and so the Art @ Sudborough event are quickly approaching with only three weekends to go! So I thought I would show you another bespoke jewellery design I have created especially for the art exhibition. The Art @ Sudborough event is at All Saints’ Church, Sudborough, Northamptonshire NN14 3BX. It opens on the evening of Friday 1st June 2012 for invitation only show preview and opens to the public from 11am to 5pm Saturday 2nd June through to Tuesday 5th June 2012 and admission is free throughout.
The design below is a one-off bespoke jewellery design for Art @ Sudborough and has been created using genuine Murano glass beads complimented with Tiffany glass beads and Swarovski crystals and finished with sterling silver fittings.
The Murano beads used are 20mm square with black glass on the inside covered with pieces of gold and silver leaf and covered in crystal clear glass. Each bead is individually handmade so no two are exactly the same giving great individuality. Although the centre is black they still have the great depth and vibrancy you would expect from any Murano glass bead.
The bespoke design is for the Art @ Sudborough event on the Jubilee weekend so if you like it get down there and see this and the full selection of bespoke designs I have created. Let me know what you think of this latest design and if you would wear these colours.

I am so excited, the UK Handmade showcase is now live and is a beautiful collection of British handmade items with the theme of a British Summer of Celebration. UK Handmade is a design led online magazine committed to showcasing and promoting the best creative talent the UK has to offer. The term ‘handmade’ is now an indicator of quality, care and professionalism that is second to none and something that the lovely people at UK Handmade wish to encourage and celebrate.
The photo is an extract of the showcase which can be seen here at the UK Handmade site. My showcase entry is of my Flower Girl Tiara in pink and available to buy from Tesoro Jewellery.
I feel that buying handmade and buying local British produce is very important and I am so pleased to be part of the UK Handmade Summer Showcase, so check out the website and the other listings.
