Love is symbolised by the heart and Venice is synonymous with romance, so what better gift is there to give than a Venetian glass heart? I use genuine Venetian glass beads in all the jewellery I make and one of the most treasured pieces are the earrings as they are simple, stylish and classical.
I use sterling silver ball head pins to hold the Venetian glass heart bead and then a sterling silver ball before finishing with a loop. The loop is then used to attach and suspend the heart below the sterling silver earring hook. The process is repeated to make a matching pair of Venetian glass heart earrings.
The only problem you will have is deciding which colour to choose! I use 19 different coloured hearts, 13 are single coloured covering the full rainbow spectrum from red though gold to blue and lilac. The other six colours are striped. A few examples can be seen below.
